PUMA’s sponsored football team, Manchester City FC, is pleased to announce that its latest official Premier League trophy won in 2022, is making its way to Malaysia for its Global Trophy Tour.

KUALA LUMPUR, 24th February 2023 – Calling all football fanatics who live and breathe football! PUMA is organising a once-in-a-lifetime experience that most kaki-kaki bola can only dream of. This weekend, football fans will have the exclusive chance to view up-close and in-person, Manchester City’s very own Premier League Championship Trophy!

Manchester City, PUMA’s sponsored football team and one of the most popular football clubs in the world, recently lifted the trophy as Premier League Champions in 2022, celebrating their hard work and dramatic tenacity throughout the season. The latest trophy was an exquisite addition to the club’s collection, as it was Manchester City’s fourth championship trophy in the past five years.

With the aim to celebrate with its fans worldwide, Manchester City is hosting its World Trophy Tour to give its global fans the opportunity to bask in its full glory.

“The Premier League Championship Trophy is arguably one of the most coveted items in all of sports history. It symbolises the pinnacle of the most popular sport in one of the most popular professional leagues in the world, and it is here today to give the fans a taste of what it’s like when hard work pays off. This trophy represents the very beauty and essence of football, and we have brought it here to celebrate that very fact,” said Steven Tan, Country Manager of PUMA Malaysia.

Taking place today, from 4:00PM to 9:00 PM; and tomorrow, 25th February 2023 (Saturday), from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, football fans may visit Football Republic @ Sunway Pyramid Mall, Bandar Sunway, to see the Championship Trophy of the Premier League’s 2021-2022 season.

Apart from that, there will also be a celebration of the football club’s championship at Football Republic with in-store Manchester City brandings and priceless merchandise such as signed player jerseys, Manchester City-branded footballs and memorabilia, and more! Not only that, visitors can also emulate the football spirit, take control of the virtual football field, and play as their favourite players in a game of FIFA or foosball.
